Eric R. Hunt
Eric Hunt is an attorney with a strong background in Social Security disability, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Disability, and Social Security Retirement and Survivors Benefits. Eric is a Southern California native who received his early education in Guadalajara, Mexico, Colorado, and Montana before attending the University of California, Riverside, and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1985. In addition, he received Top Student Award in Basic Law Enforcement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Academy in November 1987.
After a short period working as a police officer for the City of Rialto, Eric began working for the Social Security Administration. While working full-time, he attended California Southern Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor in June of 1996, and he was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 1996. He continued to work as an Attorney Advisor and Senior Attorney with the Office of Hearings and Appeals (now Office of Hearings Operations) until July 2004, at which time he went into private practice.
Eric served on the Board of Directors of San Bernardino County Legal Aid from 2004 to 2014. He is the 2009 recipient of the San Bernardino County Bar Association’s President’s Award for Pro Bono Service in the Inland Empire Communities. Mr. Hunt is also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR).
Eric has been married to his wife Wendy for 28 years. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Kirstyn and Kelsey, and the grandparents of Shaylee and Thorben.
